The Institute of Ho Chi Minh and Party leaders under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (NAP) marked its 30th year of establishment (August 19th) during a ceremony held in Hanoi on August 16th.

During the ceremony, NAP President Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang (12th PCC member) praised the contributions and efforts of generations of the institute’s staffs.
He urged the institute to focus on carrying out political tasks in the upcoming time, especially the consultancy towards the implementation of Politburo Directive 05 on increasing the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style; and continuing to increase the quality of scientific research and training.
He also requested the institute to conduct profound research on President Ho Chi Minh and Party leaders as well as the Vietnamese revolution; increase research cooperation in President Ho Chi Minh’s biography, career and ideology domestically and internationally; and develop human resources with a focus on training lecturers and scientific researchers.
Dr. Ly Viet Quang, Vice Head of the Institute of Ho Chi Minh and Party leaders, said that the institute was founded in 1987 to satisfy the demand during the renewal process, and the requirements of ideological and theoretical work.
According to Dr. Quang, the institute is now in charge of carrying out research at the State, ministerial and grassroots levels about President Ho Chi Minh and Party leaders, while being responsible for teaching the subject of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology at the NAP.
“The institute’s achievements have been recognized by precious awards from the Party and State,” said Dr. Quang./.
