Reviewing the tradition, Standing Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union and Chairman of the Young Pioneer Association Vuong Thanh Lieu said the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization is an organization of Vietnamese teenagers, founded by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, directed by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. The Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization is an educational force in and out of school, the reserve force for the Communist Youth Union, and is the pivotal force of teenage movements.

Addressing the ceremony, PCC member, Standing Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang said he hoped Ho Chi Minh city’s children would unceasingly study and pursue big ambitions, taking exercise and actively helping their families and communities.

Besides, the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Association should promote the role and responsibility of looking after the civic lives of children, especially children facing difficulties.

On this occasion, the organizing board presented five houses of friendship, worth VND50 million each, for pioneers facing difficulties in five districts; sponsoring the study through graduation from high school for 30 excellent Uncle Ho’s good children who are facing difficulties, and presenting certificates for 75 Uncle Ho’s good children and 24 outstanding examples of general leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation./.
