The Vietnamese Embassy in China organized a solemn inauguration ceremony of the bronze statue "Uncle Ho working in the Presidential Palace garden", donated by the Ministry of Public Security, on December 9th.
The statue is homely with the image of Uncle Ho sitting and reading a newspaper on a rattan chair, a pile of newspapers on a small table in front of him. Uncle Ho doesn’t wear a suit and shoes, but wears khaki pants, a casual long-sleeved shirt and a pair of rubber sandals, which had stuck with him throughout the journey to find independence and freedom for the country.
This is the 5th edition and the final version of the work of moulds completed by the hands of famous Mexican sculpture artist Pedro Ramirez Ponzanilli, adapted from a photo of Uncle Ho reading a newspaper at the Presidential Palace garden in 1960 by photographer Dinh Dang Dinh.
