As many as 60 outstanding young people who had made remarkable contributions to economic development, social security, humanitarian activities and production were honoured during a ceremony held on October 6th to mark the 60th year of the traditional day of the Vietnam Youth Federation (October 15th).
Attending the ceremony, over 300 young members of the federation reviewed the process of the establishment and development of the federation over the past 60 years.
Throughout that time, the federation has become a large social organization in Vietnam. Several generations of Vietnamese have voluntarily joined this difficult work and reached to anywhere in need. Young members in Ha Nam province have joined diverse activities to carry out social welfare, protect the environment, boost production, build new style rural areas, and increase payment of gratitude work.
Addressing the ceremony, Pham Sy Loi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ha Nam provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, praised the achievements made by the 60 outstanding young members in particular, and of the whole young members of the federation in general.
He stressed that to promote the role of young members, Party organizations and authorities needed to increase their political awareness, ideology and morality; renew the quality of the federation’s operation to attract the participation of young members; accelerate voluntary work; and encourage young members to join new and difficult work./.
