The Hanoi Police Department organized a ceremony to launch the Tree Planting Festival in 2025 "For a Green Vietnam" at the headquarters of Sai Son Commune Police Department of Quoc Oai district on February 15.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Police Department, emphasized that every spring, the whole population remembers the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh. As the result, the Tree Planting Festival has become a fine tradition, demonstrating the sense of responsibility of each citizen towards the living environment.
The Hanoi Police Department launched the Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho in 2025 in order to implement the Prime Minister's project "Planting one billion trees in the 2021-2025 period" and Plan No. 383 dated December 26, 2024 by the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee and respond to the launch of the Tree Planting Festival "For a Green Vietnam" by the Ministry of Public Security.
This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the fine traditions of the Vietnamese people. At the same time, it is a practical action to protect environment, respond to climate change, for a green, sustainable future.
At the launching ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat said that in recent years, the Hanoi Police Department has always actively coordinated with departments, branches, local authorities and related units to participate in tree planting activities, greening bare land and hills, contributing to improving the living environment, creating green, clean and beautiful landscapes for localities. In 2025, Tree Planting Festival has the theme "Planting green trees - For a green Vietnam".
The Hanoi Police Department calls on all officers and soldiers to enthusiastically participate in tree planting and afforestation; and raise awareness of responsibility for forest and green tree protection and development.
The movement "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" is not only an annual activity, but also an opportunity to look back at what has been done, and propose specific solutions and actions to continue promoting this fine tradition./.
