When he was alive, President Ho Chi Minh visited Hai Phong city 9 times, leaving teachings that generations of the city’s cadres, Party members and people have followed to make the city grow strongly and become a key economic center of the northern region and of the country.
Secretary of the city Party Committee Le Van Thanh confirmed that the city was not only a cradle of the communist movement in the two national resistance wars, but also the one that has turned Uncle Ho’s teachings into moral standard in overcoming the war consequences and increasing industrialization and modernization.
In particular, over 30 years of realization of the renewal and integration process, Hai Phong city has continued to unite in developing a strong city, with many outstanding and breakthrough achievements having been made, becoming the locality with leading economic growth.
