After the launch, more than 100 officers and soldiers of the Da Nang border guard planted 1,600 Parashorea chinensis trees on the production campus of Hoa Bac logistics base.

At the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Dinh, Deputy Commander of the Da Nang Border Guard, stressed the meaning of tree planting to join hands to protect the environment, develop forests and contribute to the sustainable development of the city.

Over the past year, officers and soldiers of the Da Nang Border Guard always determine that tree planting is an important job as “people planting”, associated with the comprehensive development process of the city, not only for today but for future generations.

Deputy Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee said that the Tet tree-planting festival in eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho, launched by President Ho Chi Minh in the Spring of 1960, is a good culture and is responded to by local officials and people. From the beginning of 2020 to now, about 13,250 scattered trees and 200,000 indigenous trees have been planted in the locality./.
