Accordingly, agencies have developed suitable emulation and models on studying and following Uncle Ho’s example, thus contributing to increasing Party building and rectification, gradually pushing back a degradation of political ideology, morality and lifestyle.

To make the campaign reach each cadre, Party member, officer, labourer and individual, the city Party Committee has issued different plans instructing the implementation of the campaign. The city Party Committee Commission on Popularization and Education has been requested to edit and publish a record book on outstanding followers of Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality and style, while each person has to build up plans on studying and following Uncle Ho’s example by practical activities.

Party organizations and agencies will be responsible for including the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style in their working programs and action plans, in connection with the implementation of the Party Central Committee (term XII) 4 ^th meeting resolution on Party building and rectification. In particular, the studying and following of Uncle Ho’s example must be linked with emulation movements and the implementation of political tasks in each locality and each agency.

A wide range of collectives and individuals as well as hundreds of creative activities have been reported during the implementation. Notably, the city Fatherland Front launched a campaign encouraging people to practice cultural lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals; the city Veterans’ Association has participated in ensuring security and order in residential areas; the city Confederation of Labour has encouraged its members to respond to programs on creative working; and the city Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has carried out diverse activities for communities, told stories about Uncle Ho, held talks about Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality and style, and screened films on Uncle Ho.

Additionally, agencies have practised thrift, prevented waste, adjusted working style, and increased the responsibility at work of each cadres, Party member and officer, thus creating a consensus among society in realizing the Party guidelines and State policies and laws.

Trinh Thi Hue, President of the city Women’s Union, said that the union has launched and maintained practical movements in response to the campaign, including that assisting poor women by saving VND3.3 billion so far. This year, the union has helped disadvantaged women and children, built 5 charitable houses, and supported 14 poor families in buying production tools, seedlings and animals.

The models have helped reinforce Party building and the political system, and well realise local socio-economic development tasks./.
