Head of the Da Nang city Party Committee Commission on Popularization and Education Dang Viet Dung urged press agencies to continue widely disseminating, in December, the city’s prospects for economic development after the success of the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week, during a meeting on press work held on November 27th.

According to the city Party Committee Commission on Popularization and Education, in November, press agencies provided adequate information about political life, the realization of socio-economic development targets, as well as security and external relations work in the city. Weaknesses and suggestions of solutions for the weaknesses were also put forth, contributing to creating a consensus among society. “In particular, the organization of the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week, together with the mitigation of flood consequences, were reported fully on mass media,” said Mr. Dung.
He urged press agencies to focus in December on disseminating the implementation of Party Central Committee resolutions, the Politburo Directive on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, protection of sea and island sovereignty, international relations, the action plans realizing Party organizations’ resolutions, and the results of the 4 th session of the National Assembly.
During the meeting, the city Department of Information and Communications was requested to give proposals on awarding press agencies which had made excellent achievements in disseminating the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week./.
