On May 17 ^th , Ho Chi Minh city Youth Union held a festival titled “Young people follow Uncle Ho’s sayings” at school zone. The festival started with a torchlight procession and flower offering at President Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace. The festival drew the participation of 5,000 young people.

There were sports performances celebrating Uncle Ho’s birthday drew the participation of 200 young people; a contest on the life of President Ho Chi Minh created a playground for young people to study about President Ho Chi Minh’s life, career and ideology as well as issues related to studying and following his moral example in the present day.

Photo and book exhibitions and film screenings on President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career as well as young people’s studying and following Uncle Ho’s sayings are taking place at universities. A forum on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology in diplomacy was also held./.
