Mr. Phan Anh Son, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), has recently received a delegation from the Nepal Peace and Solidarity Council (NPSC) led by Mr. Rabindra Adhikari, who is also a member of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN-UML), in Hanoi.

At the event, Mr. Son highly appreciated the outcomes of the working session between the Vietnam-Nepal Friendship Association and the NPSC delegation, and informed the guests about Vietnam’s situation and people-to-people exchange activities that VUFO and its members are carrying out.
The two sides need to propose cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and its Nepali partner, thus, more and more Vietnamese people choose Nepal as a tourism destination. The two sides need to propose to open diplomatic representative offices in the territories of Vietnam and Nepal.
For his part, Mr. Rabindra Adhikari highlighted that the Nepali people admire President Ho Chi Minh, and the struggle for national independence and national construction and development of Vietnam.
He wants to bolster the two countries by opening direct flights, promoting cooperation in tourism, investment and trade.
At the event, the two sides agreed to continue information exchange as well as discussions on measures and detailed cooperation activities to promote people-to-people exchange between Vietnam and Nepal./.
