Vietnamese peacekeepers report achievements to Uncle Ho after completing duties

All the peacekeepers of the Engineering Company Rotation 1 and Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 4 who have excellently completed their peacekeeping duties in Abyei and South Sudan reported their outcomes to President Ho Chi Minh.

At the event, the participants laid wreath and offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum, and paid tribute to heroes and martyrs at the monument dedicated to them on Bac Son street.

According to PANO, in a solemn ceremony, on behalf of the peacekeepers, Colonel Thang stressed that after an over one year tenure at UNISFA and UNMISS, the Engineering Company Rotation 1 and Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 4 surmounted all difficulties and challenges and excellently fulfilled their tasks, ensuring absolute safety.

All personnel of the two units were happy because they kept their promise to Uncle Ho before they left the country for the noble international missions. Over the past more than one year, they stayed united, supported each other, braced difficulties, promoted good virtues of military engineers and medical staff and Uncle Ho’s soldiers in international environment.

Both units completed the defense diplomacy duties, built good relations with U.N. agencies and units, actively and pro-actively gave assistance to the host’s administrations and people through meaningful activities, contributing to beautifying the good images of Vietnam, its land and people among international friends. Their good performances were highly appreciated domestically and internationally and honored with U.N medals and other noble awards.

All the peacekeepers of the Engineering Company Rotation 1 and Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 4 are honored with Uncle Ho badges.

At the event, members of the two units were awarded with Uncle Ho badges. They all promised to further study, practice, gain more knowledge and experience and apply them to their duties to serve the Fatherland, the military, and the people and continue to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style to deserve to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers./.
