A ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s visit to Nam Tien Cooperative has been held in Lam Thao district, the northern province of Phu Tho.
On August 19, 1962, Uncle Ho visited Nam Tien Cooperative, Cao Mai commune (now the Agricultural Cooperative in Lam Thao town, Lam Thao district). This is a typical cooperative on agricultural production; it has high productivity, comprehensive development movement, stable members’ life. It is recognized as the “wind flag of Dai Phong” of the province.

Engraved with Uncle Ho’s profound and considerate instructions, the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Lam Thao district in general and Lam Thao town in particular have always tried their best to emulate, work and reap great achievements.
In 1965, Nam Tien Cooperative continued to be a typical unit of high productivity in the North, was awarded the Second-class Labor Medal by the State, and was recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture for the typical rice yield of 6 tons a ha a year of the North.
On March 2, 1966, Uncle Ho wrote a letter to praise Nam Tien Cooperative. Responding to his kindness and profound teachings, the Party Committee, authorities, and members of Nam Tien Cooperative tried their best to increase productivity, promptly providing human and material resources to the frontline. Since then, there have appeared many typical collectives and individuals in production.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were rewarded for their achievements in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style./.
