Uncle Ho inspires university’s lecturers and students

On the campus of Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts, there is a statue of Uncle Ho with children. The statue is cast in cement, showing Uncle Ho in simple clothes. The statue was created in 1975 by sculptor Nguyen Van Ly, the lecturer of the university.

In the history of more than 70 years of construction and growth, Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts was honored to welcome Uncle Ho on October 25, 1958. Following Uncle Ho's instructions, since then, the school has constantly innovated, improved the quality and scale of training, and made many achievements, especially in the field of industrial art application in daily life.

For many generations of staff, lecturers and students of the school, Uncle Ho's visit is not only a great celebration but also a source of strength to help the school overcome many challenges and grow.

Painter Le Huy Van expressed his feeling that the statue of Uncle Ho with the children is like a mark, an indispensable memory for the teachers and students. On big holidays or important days, lecturers and students go out to the Uncle Ho statue to take commemorative photos. The statue has molded and inspired thousands of industrial art graduates from this place to spread across the country, bringing beauty to serve society."

At present, the area where Uncle Ho's statue is located is where the university often organizes important activities, including a memorial ceremony to remember the merits and show respect to the great old father of the nation./.
