The Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum has launched a tree planting festival, an annual practice in Lunar New Year (Tet) festival initiated by President Ho Chi Minh, at K9 historical site in Ba Vi district, Hanoi.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Major General Bui Hai Son, Acting Head of the Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Commander of the Mausoleum Protection Command, said that the Spring of the Tiger 2022 is the second year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and also the second year of implementing the Prime Minister's Directive 45/CT-TTg on organizing the movement of tree planting festival, realizing the goals of planting 1 billion trees for a green Vietnam in the period of 2021 - 2025. He believed that, with a new spirit and new determination, the management board would organize each year to plant 1,000 to 3,000 trees at K9 historical relics, and 3.3 million trees in 2022; joining hands to contribute to planting 1 billion new trees in the period of 2021 - 2025.
After the launching ceremony, officials, employees and soldiers of the Mausoleum Management Board and units in the area planted 400 new trees in K9 site.
The tree planting festival is a meaningful activity to educate officials, employees and soldiers to raise awareness about the position and meaning of the tree planting movement, thus contributing to environmental protection and the landscape of K9 site./.
