Showroom on President Ho Chi Minh with Hoa Binh province opens

 

The exhibit opening is among activities in celebration of the 42nd anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam and national reunification, and 70 years since Uncle Ho’s first visit to Hoa Binh (1947).

Accordingly, about 100 documents and objects related to the four visits of President Ho Chi Minh to Hoa Binh province are on display.

In February 1947, Uncle Ho visited the first money printing factory of the revolutionary authorities, and visited Chi Ne market, Lac Thuy district. In October 1958, Uncle Ho visited and had a talk with staff from the provincial Agricultural Co-operative in Ky Son district. On the way, he visited Chi Hoa production group in Luong Son district. In 1962, Uncle Ho visited the provincial Ethnic Boarding School. And in September 1964, Uncle Ho visited Kim Son district Party Committee.

It also showcases letters of compliment sent to Hoa Binh province by President Ho Chi Minh, encouraging soldiers and local people to fight the enemy and produce more products.

According to Bui Ngoc Lam, Director of Hoa Binh provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, the showroom recalls Ho Chi Minh’s great care for the Hoa Binh provincial Party organization, authorities and people. Additionally, the displayed documents and objects are a source of reference for Hoa Binh research and revolutionary history, as well as contributing to educating local people, particularly the youth, on national pride, patriotism and heroic traditions.

The showroom will be open until the end of June 2017./.
