Vietnam Week in St. Petersburg took place on May 16 - 22, while activities to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 134th birthday were also organized.

Nearly 500 people participated in a wreath laying ceremony in front of the monument to President Ho Chi Minh in Vyborg District on May 19.
After that, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi and staff members of the Vietnamese Embassy visited and presented gifts to teachers and students of High School No. 488, which houses a Ho Chi Minh Museum.
Leaders of the school introduced the Ho Chi Minh Museum to Vietnamese guests, introducing some of the 40 paintings they received after organizing a drawing competition about Vietnam with the participation of 20 Russian artists.
On early May 20, the Palace Bridge, the main one in the city, was opened to visitors and lit up in red and yellow – the colors of Vietnam’s national flag.
This year’s Vietnamese Week was the third of its kind held in St. Petersburg./.
