She made the commemoration on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7), the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19) and 77th anniversary since the day President Ho Chi Minh returned to Dinh Hoa ATK with the Party Central Committee and the Government to lead the resistance war against French colonialism (May 20), visiting and giving gifts to people with meritorious services in the area district.

In a solemn atmosphere, Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and delegates respectfully offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh; expressed infinite gratitude for President Ho Chi Minh’s great merits; and vowed to continue studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Visiting Dinh Hoa district, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, she expressed her impression of Thai Nguyen province and Dinh Hoa district’s socio-economic development achievements, including over USD27 billion in export turnover, a bright spot in investment attraction, and leading average income per capita in the region.

As a province with many advantages, she urged the province to attract foreign investment selectively; focus on attracting domestic investment and developing local businesses; and develop high-quality tourism and eco-tourism to create stable income for people, especially amid adverse impacts of the world economy.

She also suggested the province promote the advantage of being the region's educational center to train high-quality human resources for the locality; promote tangible and intangible cultural advantages to create soft power for development; and pay attention to the lives of Dien Bien Phu soldiers in the past and policy families in the area.

On this occasion, Acting State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented 250 gifts to people with meritorious services and students in difficult circumstances in Dinh Hoa district./.
