On April 26, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung had a working session with provincial leaders and Nghe An Provincial Police to agree on the construction of the President Ho Chi Minh's statue with the theme "Uncle Ho’s visit to his hometown".

Previously, in 2023, the Ministry of Public Security had a policy of building a statue of Uncle Ho as a gift to Nghe An province, using socialized funds and placing the statue at Lang Sen stadium, in Kim Lien special national relic area, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province.

This is a major policy, meaningful in educating profound revolutionary traditions, expressing the respect of generations of leaders, officers, and soldiers of the People's Public Security in gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh.

The statue is expected to be completed on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Uncle Ho's first visit to his hometown (June 16, 1957)./.
