The Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee has held a ceremony to report on moving the Uncle Ho statue from the front of the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee to the city Children’s House on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street, district 3.
The event drew the participation of politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Le Hong Anh, former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai and secretary of Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee Le Thanh Hai.
The statue of President Ho Chi Minh with a little girl has been situated in front of the Headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh city People's Committee since 1990. Now it is placed at a new and solemn position in front of the house.

Secretary of Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee Le Thanh Hai said that the event shows a deep humanity and special love of President Ho Chi Minh for Vietnamese children in general and the Southern and the city's children in particular.
At the ceremony, delegates offered flowers to the statue to pay tribute to the President and enjoyed an art program performed by local children./.
