The Ministry of Public Security organized a ceremony to launch the "Tree Planting Festival - For a Green Vietnam" 2024 in Ninh Binh province on February 19.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security To Lam said that in response to President Ho Chi Minh's call for a Tree Planting Festival and the Program to plant one billion trees in the period 2021 - 2025 with the message "For a Green Vietnam", the Ministry of Public Security launched the "Tree Planting – 2024 Tet” movement.
Accordingly, all public security units and agencies nationwide are mobilized to enthusiastically participate in planting trees and forests while raising the public awareness of environmental protection and taking effective measures to protect forests as well as effectively combating all types of environmental crimes, deforestation, forest burning, and illegal forest exploitation.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, police units across Ninh Binh province simultaneously carried out tree planting in an effort to successfully plant 5,000 trees, contributing to creating a green, clean, beautiful environment.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security presented seedlings and fire-fighting equipment as well as medicines against common epidemics to communal police posts, and first aid kits and personal protective equipment to the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Department and three district police stations of Kim Son, Gia Vien, Yen Khanh./.
