Diverse cultural activities to celebrate the 129th anniversary of the President’s birth (May 19th) will take place in May at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi.

Under the theme “Singing on President Ho Chi Minh”, activities will draw the participation of nearly 100 people from ethnic minority groups, including Tay, Dao, H’mong, Thai, Muong, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Co Tu, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Raglai, Ede and Khmer, from 12 localities.
The highlight will be the art performance praising Uncle Ho and the homeland by Viet Bac Arts and Culture College and ethnic people.
Also this month, Ba Na ethnic group from the Central Highlands will conduct a ritual for adopted children.
During weekend, there will be performances of folk songs and dances honouring the homeland and Uncle Ho by ethnic groups.
Activities for children such as beautiful hand-writing contest, drawing contest and folk games will be held on this occasion. Children will also have opportunity to experience ethnic musical instruments at the village./.
