Hundreds of models and thousands of actions following Uncle Ho have been implemented, creating a widespread influence in the community.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Long Xuyen Party Committee, Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Vo Thien Hao, since 2021, the locality has focused on effectively implementing breakthrough tasks such as promoting innovation, creativity, drastic actions, creating a premise for successfully implementing political tasks; speeding up the progress of key works and projects to develop infrastructure, attract investment, and create momentum to promote socio-economic development and focusing on improving public ethics and administrative reform.
Currently, the city has many new models, good practices in administrative procedure reform; social security; security and order; high-tech agricultural production; building model new-style rural areas; building the Party, government, and organizations, creating positive changes in economic development, poverty reduction, and improving people's lives.
Before 2023, the locality maintained more than 80 models. In 2024, the whole city had 14 typical models; branches and affiliated party committees implemented 21 breakthrough contents, 10 key and urgent issues and 125 projects on the theme of stydying and following the examples of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in caring for people's lives, Vo Thien Hao informed.
All wards and communes; Department of Receiving and Returning Results of the City People’s Committee are implementing a model to guide people to register for online public services while ensuring security and order at the Party Committee and People’s Committee headquarters of precincts.
According to the Standing Board of the Long Xuyen Party Committee, in the coming time, the locality will continue to raise awareness, making the entire Party Committee increasingly aware of the great value in the ideology and morality of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton while conbining the responsibility of setting an example in studying and following Uncle Ho with emulation movements and campaigns, aiming to arouse the spirit of dedication and the aspiration to develop Uncle Ton’s homeland to become more civilized, intelligent and modern./.
