On January 11, in preparation for the 2025 traditional Lunar New Year, a high-level delegation from Houaphanh Province, Laos, and leaders of Hoa Binh Province held an incense offering ceremony at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument.
The ceremony was attended by the two sides’ leaders, including Mr. Kham Pheng Xay Som Pheng, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary, and Governor of Houaphanh Province; Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; along with leaders of various departments, agencies, and organizations from both provinces.
During the incense offering ceremony, the delegation placed a wreath inscribed with the words: “The Party and Government of Houaphanh Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, eternally grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh” and offered incense in tribute at the Monument of President Ho Chi Minh.
To honor the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, who dedicated his life to Vietnam’s national liberation, the leaders of both Houaphanh and Hoa Binh provinces observed a moment of silence in memory of the great leader.
The leaders of the two provinces, along with representatives from various departments and agencies, participate in the incense offering ceremony.
The delegates also lay wreaths and offer incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument.
The delegation takes commemorative photos at the Uncle Ho monument located at the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant.
