The second phase of the journey started on May 17th in Thua Thien Hue province.
The journey was started on April 29th in Quang Tri on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of southern liberation and national reunification (April 30th).
The journey will be divided into 4 phases, entitled “Thank the Fatherland”, “Youngsters follow Uncle Ho’s example”, “Grateful July” and “Pride Vietnam”, which will last until September 2nd.
Through the journey, the Vietnam Youth Association hopes to spread the love for the country, showing gratitude for the merit and sacrifice of the previous generations for national peace, independence, democracy and social progress, thus encouraging the youth to practice and better serve the nation and people.
Under the second phase, youngsters will study President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career; and visit and study domestic and foreign historic and cultural destinations associated with President Ho Chi Minh’s activities.
Youngsters will choose a specific deed to do a day following Uncle Ho’s example.
The Vietnam Youth Association gives presents to 20 disadvantaged pupils and 15,000 meals to disadvantaged people in Thua Thien Hue province.
Presents given to beneficiaries’ and revolutionary contributors’ families
The activity aims to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s 130th birthday (May 19th), Party Congresses at all levels, and look towards to the 13th National Party Congress.
