A memorandum of understanding on co-organizing a cultural exchange event was signed by the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association and the Institute of Korean Cultural Resources on September 22 at The Temple of Literature in Hanoi.

The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam – Republic of Korea (RoK) relations, and in order to promote the similar traditional cultural heritage values between the two countries.
Accordingly, the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association and the Institute of Korean Cultural Resources will jointly organize a writing contest and display "President Ho Chi Minh's quote on Korean calligraphy", with the goal of creatively applying traditional cultural values for international exchanges; introducing Korean traditional culture in general, Korean handwritten culture in particular to Vietnam; as well as promoting Korean people's understanding of Vietnam's intangible culture and Ho Chi Minh's thought, through Uncle Ho's teachings, which has become a "guideline" for Vietnam to develop as nowadays.
Speaking at the event, President of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association Do Van Tru expressed that in daily life, President Ho Chi Minh's simple but profound sayings have a great influence on the thinking and way of life of Vietnamese youth. In addition, the number of Vietnamese youth learning Korean language is increasing, which is also the foundation for the Vietnam-RoK Cooperation Program 2022, in which, the combination of Korean calligraphy art and Ho Chi Minh's philosophy are the main ideas of the event.
Previously, the writing contest and display "President Ho Chi Minh's quotes on Korean calligraphy" was kicked off on September 18, 2022 in RoK, with the active participation of the calligraphy practicing community in Boryeong city, opening up./.
