Vietnam Naval Academy launches tree planting festival in gratitude to great Uncle Ho

Colonel Huynh Vinh Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Naval Academy, chaired the launching ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were leaders and commanders of agencies, faculties, units and more than 300 officers, lecturers, students and soldiers of the Vietnam Naval Academy.

This activity is regularly maintained by the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Academy on the first days of the new year. It has practical significance, helping to improve the sense of responsibility for officials, lecturers, staff and students, soldiers in planting and taking care of trees, improving the living environment, contributing to building a good and healthy cultural environment.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Director of the Vietnam Naval Academy said that over the past years, agencies, faculties and units have made efforts to implement the policy of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Academy on responding to tree planting festival in gratitude to the great Uncle Ho with practical and specific actions. Many new trees have been planted. The care and protection of trees is done thoughtfully, becoming a regular job of the soldiers.

After the launching ceremony, officers, lecturers, students and soldiers of the Academy repaired flower beds, barracks grounds, and took care of the trees of the units assigned to manage them. During the year, depending on specific conditions, units are proactive in planting new trees, replacing them, and regularly maintaining and taking care of well-developed trees, contributing to making the ecological environment and soldiers' lives better and more beautiful./.
