Uncle Ho’s birthday marked in ethnic cultural village

Accordingly, more than 80 people from 12 ethnic groups, including village patriarchs, village chiefs, artisans, and those from Tay, Dao, H’Mong, Kho Mu, Muong, Thai, Ta Oi, Co Tu, Ba Na, Xo Dang, E De and Khmer ethnic minorities from every part of the country, attended the program entitled “May – Missing Uncle Ho”.

The highlight of this year’s program is stories about Uncle Ho. With northern ethnic minority groups, people focus their stories on the great President’s revolutionary activities in Cao Bang province and his building of revolutionary foundations in northern mountainous localities.

Then singing marks Uncle Ho’s birthday

Artisan Lo Thi Tom, who had a chance to meet Uncle Ho when she was young, told her story about meeting Uncle Ho. The heart, ideology, morality, warm and casual style of Uncle Ho, forever in the hearts of the people in the northern mountainous provinces, are the feelings of Thai people through the story told by artisan Lo Thi Tom.

For the Central Highlands, the people gather in the traditional house of those with Ho family name, and read stories about Uncle Ho, and draw lessons from his life. Stories about Uncle Ho are also told among people in the southern region.

From the stories, people spread Uncle's heart and spirit in exercising to keep a healthy life, loving nature, and reinforcing solidarity to increase production to improve people’s lives.

In addition, the image of Uncle Ho through the artifacts and materials on display helps the audience have a more thorough understanding about President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary life.
