The program is part of a series of activities launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to mark the 130th anniversary of President’s birth and realise the Politburo’s Directive 05-CT/TW on promoting the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle.

People from the Tay, Nung, Muong, Mong, Thai, Kho Mu and Dao ethnic groups gathered at the Tay ethnic stilt-house to sing and tell stories of when Uncle Ho carried out revolutionary activities in Cao Bang province and built revolutionary bases in the northern mountainous provinces.  This helped ethnic people understand more about Uncle Ho’s morality and lifestyle and practise in their daily life.

People of all ethnic groups gathered to tell each other stories, and shared their good feelings about Uncle Ho.

Artist Lo Thi Tom from Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province, had a chance to meet Uncle Uncle Ho on May 8th, 1959. The artist shared her touching memories about the meeting. She also represented students from the Muong Sang Primary School, Son La province, to meet Uncle Ho at the Moc Chau Administrative Committee on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory in May 1959. In 1976, she was one of the representative children of Son La province to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum in Hanoi.

Ethnic people from Xo Dang, Ba Na, Co Tu, and E De came to the Rong house of the Ta Oi ethnic group of the Central Highlands. Ms. H'Ny, Ms. H'Hoa Nie of the E De ethnic group, Ms. Y Xinh of Xo Dang ethnic group and everyone shared the stories heard about Uncle Ho told by their mothers since childhood, the good feeling of the people in the Central Highlands towards Uncle Ho and Uncle Ho’s sentiment to people in the Central Highlands. Then, all ethnic people sang songs on Uncle Ho and watched a video on the last moment before Uncle passed away.

On this occasion, exhibitions, cultural exchanges and arts performances are also held at the village to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth./.
