An exchange on studying President Ho Chi Minh’s ways to work for newspapers has been held by the Army Television and Radio Center (the General Department of Politics under Vietnam People’s Army).

President Ho Chi Minh started his revolutionary career by working for newspapers during his journey to find a way to save the country. The Vietnamese revolutionary press was started by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc and the Vietnamese Revolutionary Youth League published the first edition of Thanh Nien Newspaper on June 21st, 1925. 

Throughout his revolutionary life, President Ho Chi Minh had always valued the use of the press as a weapon of fierce struggle and an effective means of information provision. Press workers were examples and leaders of the Vietnamese revolutionary press. In about 50 years of writing with nearly 200 pseudonyms, Uncle Ho is the author of more than 2,000 articles, 276 poems, and nearly 500 pages of stories.

At the event, participants watched short reportages on President Ho Chi Minh’s spirit and style in working for newspapers and difficulties of press workers. Senior journalists also shared experiences in their careers./.
