Promoting the creation and popularization of literature, art and press works in the theme of “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”

The event is an activity to mark the 125 th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (May 19 th , 1890 – May 19 th , 2015).

Implementing Direction 03 of the Politburo and Plan on continuing to promote the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example until 2015, the Secretariat instructed the organization of the campaign on the creation and popularization of literature, art and press works on the topic “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”. Awards for works on the topic were presented to authors, groups and individuals who had made outstanding achievements in discovering, popularizing and multiplying good deeds from studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example. Awards are divided into two phases, including the first phase from May, 2011 to March, 2013, and the second phase from April, 2013 to May, 2015.

Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee Le Hong Anh; and Politburo member, secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee Commission of Popularization and Education, Dinh The Huynh presented A prizes to groups and individuals.

According to the Awards Steering Committee, nearly 700 works were sent for consideration in the second phase, increasing twice in comparison with that in the first phase. Of them, works reflecting outstanding examples in studying and following Uncle Ho’s moral example increased, especially in  press, photography and architect. The Steering Committee decided to present 11 A prizes, 59 B prizes, 87 C prizes and 81 consolidation prizes to groups and individuals.

The Awards drew the participation of different authors from cadres, party members, students, overseas Vietnamese who were living and working in Great Britain, Australia and Sri Lanka. Many works were from people of ethnic minority groups of the Cham, Chau ro, Tay and Ede. Many authors such as Prof. Vu Khieu, Prof. Ha Minh Duc, and Prof. Tran Van Binh, had made great contributions to the nation in the field of historical research, culture, literature and the arts. 

Works contributed to encouraging the studying and following Uncle Ho’s moral example in different fields; and helped people in remote and disadvantaged areas to be aware of Uncle Ho’s ideology and moral example./.
