As many as 9 large activities have been planned to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 130th birthday (May 19th) in the recent meeting on celebrations of the great President’s birthday by the Party Central Committee Commission on Popularization and Education.
In particular, some of the main activities that will be held during the event include: the national celebration which is scheduled on the morning of May 18th by Hanoi in collaboration with central ministries, agencies and unions; and a national workshop scheduled on the morning of May 5th by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in coordination with the Party Central Committee Commission on Popularization and Education and Nghe An province.
A live television broadcast is scheduled to take place on the evening of May 19th, linking five locations of Hanoi, Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, Ho Chi Minh city and Dong Thap. In addition, an exchange of outstanding followers of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style is scheduled to be held on May 17th, while an award ceremony of composing literature, art and press works on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style is planned on May 13th.
The celebration which takes place in the year of many major holidays and important political events of the Party and the country requires rich and profound contents, being commensurate with the historical stature and the era of President Ho Chi Minh, a genius leader of the Communist Party and Revolution of Vietnam, a national hero and a great man of culture.
The celebration is also requested to meet the sentiments of the Vietnamese people toward Uncle Ho; encourage them to study and follow his ideology, morality and style; and urged the whole Party, people and army to successfully implement the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress, and successfully organizing the Party Congress at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress./.
