“Mother of Sen Village” - Art program to honour President Ho Chi Minh's mother

The program is one of series of activities to celebrate the 132nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh in Nghe An province, and is scheduled to be broadcast live on the Vietnam Television.

The program, which will be divided into three parts, aims to honour the image of mother Hoang Thi Loan - a mother, a courageous and benevolent woman who made an important contribution to the formation of Ho Chi Minh's personality; affirming the role and good traditional qualities of Vietnamese women inherited and forged to continue to build the image of a woman in the new era, studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style on self-reliant will and aspiration to develop the prosperous and happy country.

Within the framework of the program, the art photo exhibition "Doi Sen" by photographer Tran Bich from Ho Chi Minh City will be held from May 14 to 19.

The exhibition displays 50 works on lotus life, women and lotus. Lotus flowers are noble, pure and simple; especially, in any environment, it rises up, affirming its strong vitality, symbolizing the noble image of Vietnamese women who work hard and have noble sacrifice, always protecting, caring, raising and teaching their children to be human.

On these days, the Vietnam Women's Union will also organize a cuisine program and display applications from lotus at Kim Lien relic site in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province./.
