Addressing the meeting, Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education, said that an increase in the implementation of the decree was needed to struggle against, prevent and push back a degradation of political ideology, morality and lifestyle in the Party.

According to Mr. Thuong, during the implementation of the decree, provincial and city Party Committee Commissions on Popularization and Education have built up resolutions and given them to Party Executive Committees for carrying out, while localities have organized diverse talks on the contents of the decree, as well as on solutions to increase the quality of the decree implementation. Some localities have held dialogues with people to talk about and tackle key and urgent issues.

He urged localities to continue to carry out the wide and deep dissemination of the decree so that the whole Party, people and army have profound awareness about the great values of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, making it a firm spiritual foundation in social life and in developing the Vietnamese culture and people.

The implementation of the decree was also asked to be combined with the implementation of Party resolutions and important events of the country, especially the 4 ^th PCC meeting (term XII) resolution on increasing Party building and rectification.

Mr. Thuong also requested localities to promptly praise outstanding followers and creative methods in realizing the decree for the society to follow./.
