The Military Headquarters of the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang has organized a meeting to honour outstanding individuals for their performance in the campaign “Promoting tradition, devoting talent to deserve to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers”.

At the event, Standing Deputy Head of the Hau Giang provincial People’s Committee Dong Van Thanh said that, together with implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo on intensifying the study and following of the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh, the implementation of the campaign has made strong change in building political spirit, ideological position and sense of self-improving to improve the revolutionary morality, healthy and simple life and the spirit of discipline to fulfill every mission of the provincial armed forces.
In the near future, he urged the close combination of the campaign with the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo and Resolution of the 4th PCC meeting (term XII) about Party building and rectification.
After three years of carrying out the campaign, the Hau Giang provincial armed forces actively joined hands in building new-style rural areas with models to help people reduce poverty, boost economic development and improve livelihoods.
So far, 9 out of 15 communes which coordinated with the armed forces to build new-style rural areas have been recognized to meet standards of a new-style rural area./.
