After four years of implementation, the working programs showed practical results. Annually, 90% of the union’s branches are classified firmly and strongly, the quality of its members is improved and all staff and members are trained.

Members are equipped with knowledge to grow rich, unite and help each other in production, actively join the union’s activities. All staff and members registered for studying and following the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh and they also joined programs of building new-style rural areas.

For economic development, the union mobilized farmers to develop collective economy. So far, 538 models of collective economy have been set up with 14,671 participants. The rate of good farming households at all levels reached 68.35%.

In his speech at the conference, Chairman of the Hanoi Farmer’s Union, Trinh The Khiet proposed key missions in the coming time to continue renewing and improving the quality of the union’s activities and building the union strongly and comprehensively. He also encouraged farmers to actively study and follow the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh and join efforts to build new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas.

On this occasion, the union presented certificates of merit to 55 teams and individuals with outstanding performance in carrying out the five working programs./.
