The building of the project started on President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19th) and the completed construction was placed at the hall of the Hai Phong city Border Guard High Command.
The right side of the statue is a line of Uncle Ho’s teachings that “the Hung Kings founded the country, you and I must protect it” while the left side is a line of two sentences of poem by King Le Thai To which highlights the role of border guard.
The construction aims to teach tradition, reminding each cadres, Party member and border guard to unite and successfully realize political tasks by firmly protecting the sea and island sovereignty, maintaining political security and social order at sea and port border guards of the city./.
