Kim Dong Publishing House has released a book entitled “Uncle Ho writes Declaration of Independence” to mark the 76th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2021) and National Day (September 2).
Book "Uncle Ho writes Declaration of Independence"
Author Kieu Mai Son has diligently collected, researched, classified and compared sources to get detailed information about the Declaration of Independence drafted and completed by President Ho Chi Minh. Those are documents of people who lived and worked with President Ho Chi Minh rewritten or recounted, such as "Memoirs of Vu Dinh Hoe", "Memoirs of Tran Huy Lieu", "Memoirs of Vo Nguyen Giap", and “Memoirs of Le Thanh Nghi".
"Uncle Ho writes Declaration of Independence" recreates a vivid and specific picture of the National Day (September 2) at historic Ba Dinh Square 76 years ago. After that, the Declaration of Independence was translated into English and French to announce to the whole world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the first people's democratic state in Southeast Asia.
This meaningful book helps readers understand more deeply an important historical moment of the Vietnamese nation. This is a valuable reference source for teachers, as well as students, to meet the needs of teaching and learning in schools./.
