Power company saves tens of billions of VND by following Uncle Ho's example

Accordingly, the company has developed spending regulations in an attempt to reduce production fees and invest in profitable projects. As a result, it has reduced the power loss by over 0.5% each year, saving billions of VND per year, and saving over VND3.75 billion by managing prices, it has also saved over VND3.75 billion.

In addition, VND4 billion has been saved from bidding of goods and construction; and over VND3 billion from major repair fees. In particular, realizing a directive of the Prime Minister, the company has worked with localities, businesses and families to save over 23.3 million kWh, or roughly VND38.6 billion.

Working methods have been improved by the company in order to address growing demand among customers, shortening the time required to meet customers’ power demand, thus saving hundreds of millions of VND per year for society.

According to Tran Van Chinh, Deputy Head of the Company’s Office, diverse solutions have been carried out to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, including emulation movements and the provision of power for rural areas.

Launching movements on promoting initiatives and improving technology for increased working productivity, the company has realized 40 works while 23 initiatives have been recognized, benefiting VND600 million.

By practising thrift in using power, office stationeries, phone and equipment use, the company has saved VND1 billion.

Over the past year, the company has allocated over VND91 billion to invest in and repair the power network to ensure successive and safe power provision for socio-economic development. Apart from this, the company joined 4 emulation campaigns with a value of VND23.7 billion in Vung Liem and Tam Binh districts and Vinh Long city, promptly serving the election of deputies to the 14 th National Assembly term 2016-2021, making contribution to promoting production and socio-economic development at localities.

“The Company’s Party Committee will expand outstanding models in the future, and exchange with other agencies of the sector to more effectively study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style,” said Mr. Chinh./.
