According to Dang Gia Duan, Chairman of the town People’s Committee, the town called on people, businesses and localities to plant new types of trees suitable for local soil and climate, contributing to increasing the amount of trees in the area. “It is also an opportunity to encourage people to care for and protect trees and a healthy living environment,” he said.

The highlight of the event was the planting of nearly 500 peach blossom trees of all kinds. The estimated cost for the number of peach blossoms of about VND400 million was mobilized from social involvement.

“The planting of nearly 500 peach blossom trees will be a new beginning, suggesting a new direction for people's livelihoods. In the near future, Buon Ho will have a "Peach Blossom Road", a promising spring check-in point, creating a motivation for people to expand the area from 20 hectares to hundreds of hectares in the near future. This is also a premise for Buon Ho peach blossom to become a “one commune one product” (OCOP) product and have its own brand, contributing to helping the town achieve at least 10 OCOP products by 2025. In the future, Buon Ho town will organize 'Buon Ho Peach Blossom Festival' to attract investment resources and develop tourism," Mr. Duan said.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Cam, Head of the town Education and Training Department, said that planting trees in gratitude to Uncle Ho is an activity that is both educational and highly practical, which helps officials, teachers and students see the value of preserving and protecting forests and protecting the environment. In particular, planting valuable trees such as peach blossoms can become a livelihood for families to increase their income and provide for their children's education.

As planned, in the near future, the whole town will plant nearly 10,000 new trees./.
