The Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee on August 24 th held a meeting to carry out the plan on implementing the Politburo Directive 05 and the Party Central Committee (PCC) Secretariat Plan 03 on increasing the studying and following of Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality and style.
The meeting focused on drawing experience from the implementation of the Politburo Directive 03 (Term XI) on continuing to increase the studying and following of Uncle Ho’s ethical example; and carrying out new points set in Directive 05.
Addressing the meeting, Dinh La Thang, Politburo member and Secretary of the city Party Committee, stressed that the city Party Committee would make the implementation of the Directive an important content in Party building and rectification; make efforts in building a strong and pure Party; and develop a competent cadre force, especially key cadres.
He also pledged to push back the degrading of political ideology, morality and lifestyle among the city Party Committee; increase the fight against corruption, wastefulness and bureaucracy; build up pure authority; and consider serving people’s and nation’s interests a prime objective./.
