70th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s letter to Congress of Southern Ethnic Minority Groups

 

On the occasion of the Congress of Southern Ethnic Minority Groups in Pleiku, Gia Lai province in 1946, President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter recommending that ethnic minority groups unite closely, contributing to protecting the government and preserving the country’s independence. The letter played an important role in strengthening the great unity bloc of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups.

The event aims to popularize and mobilize the compatriots of various ethnic origins to continue to realize well the contents and thoughts in the letter which Uncle Ho sent to Congress of Ethnic Minority Groups in Pleiku in 1946 and the letter expressing the determination of the Central Highland Ethnic Minority Groups Solidarity Congress in Pleiku on March 29th, 2006 and the Lam Dong Ethnic Groups Solidarity Congress. Accordingly, the ethnic groups emulate to successfully realize the tasks of socio-economic and public security and national defence of each locality.

At the event, the Lam Dong provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front appraised 70 outstanding individuals in the work of the ethnic minority groups front.

In addition, leaders of the Lam Dong provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front affirmed to promote the thought of great national unity in the letter Uncle Ho sent to the Congress of Southern Ethnic Minority Groups in Pleiku in 1946. At the present period, the province will resolve well the problems of religion, land and poverty relief. Besides, it will also build a strong political system and promote the Central Highland Ethnic Groups Cultural Characters./.
