The Vietnam Medical Union has organized a conference to praise typical collectives and individuals in studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh in celebration of the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955-2024).

Accordingly, 12 collectives and 37 individuals were honored for studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics and style in 2024.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Pham Thanh Binh, President of the Vietnam Medical Union, reviewed the traditions and history of celebrating Vietnamese Doctors’ Day and emphasized that this is an opportunity to honor the merits of respected doctors in the cause of caring for, protecting and improving people’s health.
She stressed medical staff should further increase their responsibility to practice pure medical ethics and advanced medical skills worthy of Uncle Ho's teachings: “A physician must be like a mother.”
At the conference, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Vice President of the Vietnam Medical Union launched the second contest on innovating the service style and attitude of medical staff, towards satisfaction of customers to further raise the awareness, understanding, and sense of responsibility of health sector officials and employees in building friendly, civilized and modern hospitals.
On the occasion, the organizers of the running race “For Vietnam's Health” organized a preliminary summary of the tournament. In stage 1 of the tournament, the organizers recorded 3,200 registered athletes, a distance of 95,414 km was accumulated, 871 athletes completed 44km and were issued electronic certificates./.
