Implementing the direction of the Central Military Commission, the Head of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), the People's Army Newspaper on February 5 launched a writing contest with the theme "Steadfast steps under the Party flag".

The contest aims to widely disseminate to cadres, party members, soldiers and people of all walks of life the glorious history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh; as well as affirm the position, role, prestige, leadership capacity, governance and fighting strength of the Party throughout the Vietnamese revolutionary journey.
The contest is open to cadres, soldiers, journalists, informants, collaborators, readers inside and outside the Army, overseas Vietnamese and foreigners living and working in Vietnam.
The works are on the following topics: The glorious tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the Party's brilliant milestones over 95 years of founding, construction and development; great achievements with historical significance of the Vietnamese nation and revolution under the leadership of the Party, especially the great achievements after nearly 40 years of implementing the country's innovation.
The works sent to the contest must belong to one of the following press genres: Political commentary, typical examples of "good people - good deeds", reflection articles, reports, notes, press photos and multimedia works.
The contest will be held from February 5 to November 30, 2025 and the award ceremony will take place in December 2025.
The Steering Committee and Organizing Committee will award five special prizes, five A prizes, 10 B prizes, 25 C prizes, 25 encouragement prizes and 10 certificates of merit to 10 collectives with outstanding achievements./.
