This is the third time the National Archives Centre III, Department of Records and State Archives (Ministry of Home Affairs) has received a large volume of documents from the late writer, including many paper documents, audio tapes, and memorabilia, reported NDO.

In particular, this is the first time that the late writer's family has sent 15 audio tapes and videos, such as "Uncle Ho came to the US", "The photographer of Uncle Ho", "The last hours of Uncle Ho's life” and many precious artefacts associated with the writer's life and creations such as radios, typewriters, wristwatches, pen cases, glasses, engravings, medals and commemorative medals.

Tran Viet Hoa, Director of the National Archives Centre III, commented that the documents along with the works of the writer Son Tung, have portrayed the life and career of the beloved leader of the nation and the contributions of the leaders of the Party and State.

The authentic, vivid and diverse documents of writer Son Tung are a reliable and valuable source of information for historical researchers, cultural workers, teachers and students, as well as those who love the history and culture of the country. The source material has contributed to enriching the collection of the National Archives of Vietnam.

Writer Son Tung is not only a seriously wounded soldier, a person with meritorious services to the country but also an example of humanity and extraordinary efforts in labour.

The Director of the National Archives Centre III said, that in the coming time, the centre would carry out the scientific editing and arrangement, along with bringing the documents to the public, serving the cause of national construction./.
