The Asian Civilizations Museum, located by the Singapore River, is the only museum in the region dedicated to exploring Asia's artistic heritage; and to depicting the historical connection between the cultures of Asia and between Asia and the world.

In the large space of the Museum, the President Ho Chi Minh Monument is solemnly placed along with the monuments of many other Asian leaders and celebrities. The Prime Minister, his wife and the delegation offered flowers, respectfully remembering the great merits of President Ho Chi Minh, Hero of National Liberation, a world cultural celebrity.

On the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife visited the Singapore Botanical Garden, which covers an area of nearly 74 hectares, a place to research and preserve more than 30,000 species of plants. It is famous around the world for the National Orchid Garden, the largest display of tropical orchids in the world with more than 1,000 orchid species and 2,000 hybrid orchid species.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the ceremony where a new orchid species was named "Pham Le Tran Chinh". Orchid "Pham Le Tran Chinh" is a hybrid orchid with strong vitality and natural flowering. The erect and sturdy inflorescences consist of 5 to 7 radiant star-shaped flowers. The flower symbolizes strong vitality.

The leader of the Orchid Garden said that this new orchid was bred from a species of orchid with a natural distribution in Vietnam and a species in Singapore.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked Singapore and hoped that the two countries' relations would develop well and last as long as the beauty of this new orchid./.
