During his official visit to Russia, on August 11, General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, and the delegation from the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam laid flowers at the Statue of President Hồ Chí Minh and visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow.

The flower-laying ceremony at the Statue of President Ho Chi Minh was conducted in a solemn and emotional atmosphere. The delegates laid flowers and observed a moment of silence in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh, the great national liberation hero, the beloved leader of the Vietnamese people, and a great friend of the Russian people.
As one of six statues of President Ho Chi Minh located abroad, the Statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Moscow was inaugurated on May 18, 1990, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth.
This is one of the most large-scale and impressive works dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh in Russia, symbolizing the friendship between the two nations and two countries, and a source of pride for every Vietnamese person living, studying, and working in the "Land of Birch."
On this occasion, Minister Phan Van Giang and the delegation from the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam visited the building where President Ho Chi Minh worked in Moscow from 1923 to 1924.
During his visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, General Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the Embassy's contributions to promoting Vietnam-Russia relations. He expressed his confidence that the Embassy's staff would overcome all difficulties, unite, and fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Party and State, contributing even more to strengthening the relationship between the two countries./.
