The Ho Chi Minh City High Command on January 4 held a ceremony to report its achievements to Uncle Ho at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park, on the occasion of the State President awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) armed forces.

This is the third time the Ho Chi Minh City High Command has been awarded the title of Hero.
At the ceremony, Major General Phan Van Xung, member of the HCMC Party Committee, Political Commissar of the HCMC High Command, emphasized that after nearly 80 years of building, fighting, and growing, the armed forces together with the Party Committee, government, and people of the city, have achieved many resounding achievements in the cause of national liberation.
According to him, in recent times, the armed forces have advised the Party Committee and government of the city to effectively lead and direct local military and defense work; build a strong national defense; and a solid defense zone; building a clean and strong Party organization, associated with building a comprehensively strong unit, accurately forecast the situation, promptly handle situations, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, creating a stable environment for the development of the city.

After the ceremony, the delegates respectfully offered flowers, observed a minute of silence to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and his great contributions to the cause of fighting for national liberation, national reunification, building a peaceful, independent, unified Vietnam, which is increasingly prosperous and developed./.
