The Hanoi People’s Committee has just issued a plan to organize the Tet tree planting festival to express gratitude to Uncle Ho in the Spring of 2025, with the goal of planting more than 700,000 new trees of all kinds.

Departments, agencies, units, districts, towns and cities will plant about 320,000 shade trees, timber trees and 350,000 fruit trees on urban traffic routes, headquarters of agencies, departments, sectors, parks, hospitals, schools and households.
Localities with forests and remaining forestry land will arrange to plant 20ha to 30ha of new production forests; manage and protect about 6,483 ha of protective and special-use forests, contributing to ensuring the stability of the forest coverage ratio of Hanoi.
In the first campaign of 2025, the whole city strives to plant 120,000 - 150,000 new trees of all kinds. Notably, Chuong My district registered to plant 75,000 new trees, Soc Son district 55,000 new trees and Ba Vi district 55,000 new trees.
The Hanoi High Command registered to plant the largest number of new trees, with 15,000 trees while the Department of Education and Training registered for 2,000 trees of all kinds.
The People’s Committee at the communal level popularized and mobilized each household to plant at least 1-2 trees of all kinds to complete the goal of planting 700,000 new trees in 2025, contributing to the goal of planting 1 billion trees in 2021 - 2025./.
