Secretary of the PCI in charge of education Luca Cangemi said President Ho Chi Minh was a great image of national liberation and fighting for peace, progress and development all over the world.
The stories of his journey to find a way to save the country, his writings and wishes, have been left in the minds of the young generation.
Meanwhile, chairman of the Etnea association of historical and philosophical studies Salvatore Distefano highlighted the long resistance war of the Vietnamese people.
He recalled the long struggle of the Vietnamese people; at the same time, he emphasized that the PCI always takes the Vietnamese Communist Party as a model and a vanguard of the working class and working people.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, an official from the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy, applauded the PCI’s initiative and affirmed that over the past 50 years, President Ho Chi Minh’s testament has always been a valuable historical document. It crystallized the thought, morality and noble spirit of a great man, who strived to sacrifice for the fatherland and the people for all his life.
The testament expresses President Ho Chi Minh’s secret wish to the revolutionary cause of Vietnam and the world. For Vietnam, it was a struggle to liberate the nation, unify the country and move toward socialism.
With the worldwide Communist movement, President Ho Chi Minh expected that the Communist Party of Vietnam would work hard, making a positive contribution to the restoration of solidarity between brother parties on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and proletariat internationalism.
The event contributed to strengthening relations between the two communist parties and created a chance for Italian youngsters to understand better about the great Vietnamese leader and his testament./.
